I. Presentation of the Victoria Falls National Park

The Victoria Falls are among two national parks, National Park Mosi-oa-Tunya in Zambia and Victoria Falls National Park in Zimbabwe.
The falls are located on the Zambezi River, which forms here the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe.

III. Falls and views

Devil's Cataract (70 meters high):

The name comes from the neighboring island of the Zambezi where local tribes will perform sacrificial ceremonies.
When the missionaries came, they saw the ceremonies as "diabolical" and hence the name was given to the cataract.

Main Falls (93 meters high):

This is the largest waterfall and certainly the most majestic view of the falls.

Horseshoe Falls (95 meters high):

Cataract East (101 meters high):

VII. Climate

The weather in Victoria Falls is generally hot and dry, except in and near the Batoka Gorge, where it is warm and humid.
The summer rainy season lasts from November to March, and rain is usually in the form of thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, the weather can be quite unpredictable, with torrential rain one day, and clear skies the next.
In colder months, from April to July, be sure to put pants and a jacket to avoid getting cold.
There is a considerable difference in the flow of water falls from the rainy to the dry season.
